Awesome God
I am very excited for the summer months which are coming up soon. There are so many things that I enjoy about the summertime. I like the warmer weather, baseball season, and all of the outdoor activities that I enjoy with others. One of my favorite things to do is to go out at night and look up at the stars. I can’t help but be in awe of who God is and the works of His hands whenever I look into the night sky. He spoke the world into existence, and He holds the universe and everything in it in His hands. God’s creation reveals both His awesome power and His creativity.
When we realize how awesome God is, we must also realize how amazing it is that He cares for us. God, who existed before the world was created, cares for man, who is here today and gone tomorrow. We were created to be in relationship with God. And even after we caused a rift in that relationship by our sin, God gave up His own Son so that we could be with Him again. God’s care and love for us is awesome!
We all face hardships and trials as we go throughout our lives. We all go through periods when we are discouraged. I hope that when life is hard and you are discouraged, that you would be uplifted by this truth: The awesome God who created the universe loves you, and wants to be with you!
“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained; what is man that You take thought of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” Psalm 8:3-4
