Recognizing God's Face
Have you ever looked at something and seen a face you've never noticed before? That happened to me this morning with the T Mobile logo. Some of their packaging happened to be upside-down on my desk, and smiling up at me was a little face.
As I studied it for a few seconds I realized that there was also a serious looking face if I flipped it back right side up. Now that I've seen it I can't ever not see it again.
We have an amazing ability to recognize faces in all sorts of things once we're looking for them. I suspect, now that I've brought this to mind for you, that you'll be seeing them everywhere for the rest of the day.
It can be the same way with God. “For ever since the creation of the universe his invisible qualities — both his eternal power and his divine nature — have been clearly seen, because they can be understood from what he has made.” (Romans 1:20 )
I pray that as people look upon us they will recognize God's face, both serious and smiling, represented by the things we say and do.
