Hope
What do you hope in? Do you have hope in the economy? In politicians or in next year’s vacation? That’s fine, I try to be optimistic of what the future holds and the blessings I may get from it. However, those are fringe, secondary hopes to my anchor of a hope in Christ Jesus. I know that all of the worldly hopes I have are going to let me down in one way or another, but I have full faith in God’s eternal victory. Through my hope in Him I can face whatever this life throws at me because I know that He is faithful to deliver on his promises of redemption, renewal, and salvation. Because I know that all things will be made right I am motivated to continue to fight the good fight here in the disappointments below. Without that anchor of an undefeated, eternal Father I don’t know how I’d face tomorrow.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may over-flow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13)
