Four Seasons
Four Seasons
I came across a thought recently that struck me. Worthy “life advice” I’ll call it.
It was noted that people change in four seasons. When they…:
1) Hurt enough they have to.
2) See enough they are inspired to.
3) Learn enough they want to.
4) Receive enough they are able to.
It begged the question… “What season are you in?!”
Truth is, I’ve been in all those seasons and each season brought its own blessings, rewards, experiences, and lessons.
Our Christian faith leads us through the seasons of our lives. God’s grace, His mercy, His forgiveness, His salvation… covers us in a way that, if we believe, if we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us the way God designed the Holy Spirit (the Counselor) to be, we will prosper in every season and we will make the changes in our lives and most likely be the influence to change in other people’s lives.
The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15 vs 31 –“ I die daily!” Many see that as a daily renewal which I agree with. Yesterday is behind us, and tomorrow is unseen, but we live today to be a better “me” in Christ Jesus. To make a difference in my life and in the lives of others in word or deed in all that we do based on the experiences we’ve had and the inspiration that’s available.
Paul ends that chapter, 1 Corinthians 15 vs 58, “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you that know your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
Enjoy your “season of life” and be the blessing vessel God intended you to be.
