Annual Recreation Program

Remember the old saying busy hands are happy hands…well,
on June 4th, summer vacation begins for the children at the
Children’s Home.  They have begun to focus on how to keep their
residents occupied so that they don’t have lots of time on their
hands.  They are not unlike any other kid during the summer; if
they have extra time they will fill it! The staff is hoping to fill that
extra time with good activities.

In order to do that, they have their annual recreation program.
The kids are able to go to the YMCA, visit area museums and
parks, go to CoSci in Columbus, and go fishing as well as other
fun activities.  They even get to go to Kings Island one time.  This
keeps the kids busy during the day so they are focused on
continuing good behavior in order to be reunited with their families
in the near future.

The cost for each child to participate in the recreation program
is $135.  If you would like to contribute to help us sponsor this
program for the summer, please see Dan Beerbower as soon as
possible.

“Thanks for all that you do to help these kids out!”  Dan
