It's good to be home!

I enjoy having the opportunity to travel to other congregations to hold meetings, and I enjoy the fellowship of meeting other Christians. But I enjoy being home and being back with my family here at Centerville. I hope you consider this congregation as your family. Your spiritual family of brothers and sisters through the blood of Christ. A family that you can depend on and lean on in the good times as well as in the bad times. To know that we here at Centerville care and pray for each other continuously. The Bible instructs us to pray for one another. We read in James 5:16; "Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." It is a great honor and privilege to intercede on each others behalf, to take their names before the throne of God. We all get to those times in our lives when we need the prayers of others to help sustain us through difficult times. That is why it is so important as a church family to stay involved and in touch with each other's lives and needs. We are all walking through this journey of life together and what better help and strength than to have others praying for us. Somehow this journey becomes a little easier when others genuinely care about and pray for our problems. Let me encourage you today to look around you and take notice of your brothers and sisters needs and what others may be dealing with and pray for them. Never take it lightly. God is moved by the prayers of His people. It is my prayer, that we never forget the power of our prayers, and that we always know the importance of praying for one another.

If we here at the Centerville Church of Christ can be of any spiritual assistance to you, please let us know.

 God Bless- Todd
